Is your plant-room unbearably hot?  Every unlagged valve results in heat loss equivalent to that of 1.5 metres of unlagged pipe.

The majority of plant-rooms will not have their valves or fittings lagged because of their awkward shape.  Those that have used expensive rigid metal-clad insulation systems frequently find them discarded on the floor of the plant-room after maintenance as they are difficult to re-fit.  Dynamic ValveWrap is flexible, robust and effective insulation that can cover fittings of any shape.

How Does It Work?

ValveWrap insulation prevents heat escaping at 80ºC and produces a surface temperature of 25ºC. The standard ValveWrap is suitable for temperatures up to 200ºC but can be adapted for temperatures up to 400ºC. Each cover is designed and manufactured to the highest specification and conforms to BS 5422.

ValveWrap covers are:
  • Oil and water resistant
  • Non-asbestos
  • Non-combustible
  • High resistance to mechanical wear
  • Many times re-usable

Will It be Suitable for My Boiler-Room?

The standard product will deal with all hot and cold systems within a conventional plant-room where temperatures do not exceed 200ºC. Special wraps can be assembled for specific industries and particular applications.

How Does It Prove It Is Saving Energy?

The concept of using insulating material to save energy is widely understood and with a specification to BS 5422 the performance of the product is assured.  What is not so readily available with other products is the quantification of the savings, particularly where there are awkward shapes.

Dynamic Energy Products has calculated the thermal value of the ValveWrap insulation and provides payback periods and CO2 savings calculations with each quote. Generally, paybacks will be between 12 and 24 months.
